Chris has worked with some of the world’s biggest music companies and artists starting way back in 1998. His roles across Publicity, Artist Relations, Marketing, TV and Radio have given him a high-level, broad and hands-on understanding of the industry.
With the added insight from years of long nights in dark venues, endless miles on the road, and ongoing involvement in festivals, conferences and events across Australia, Europe and the UK, Chris has built a real-world perspective on how things actually work at every level.
Bringing that experience, network and passion together, Chris launched Maric Media in April 2013.
Maric Media now operates globally and is the Australian representative for labels including Arising Empire, Better Noise Music, earMUSIC, Metal Blade, Napalm Records, Peaceville and more, while also working closely with a number of Australian touring companies.
Chris has decades of ground experience and a million stories to tell from countless gigs and tours as well as festivals such as The Big Day Out, Soundwave, Download UK, Download Australia, Hellfest, Summerbreeze, Wacken, Bloodstock and Froth & Fury ...to name a few.
Heavy Metal Truants have crowned Chris a three time veteran in their annual Charity Bicycle ride from London to the UK's Download Festival. Organised by former Metal Hammer editor Alex Milas and Iron Maiden's manager, Rod Smallwood, the Truants have raised over a million pounds for childrens' charities - so far.
Chris is regular guest panelist at Oslo's Inferno Festival and this year will be part of Tallinn Music Week in Estonia for the first time.
Many promoters, labels, booking agents and managers regularly call on Chris for his unique perspective and approach as he is well known for finding unique ideas and solutions to an endless array of problems, including Crisis PR.
